What an awesome weekend this was. I arrived at the track early Thursday morning after a long evening drive from TN. This was my first assignment with Grassroots Motorsports Magazine. To my surprise, I soon discover that Patrick Dempsey was testing at the track with Alara Racing. After the first practice session there was media coverage from some local Chicago stations and then media rides during lunch. I headed down to take photos and instead got a media ride with one of the Playboy Mazda MX-5 Cup drivers.
The rest of the weekend was full of excitement as well. Great sessions from Playboy Mazda MX-5 Cup, USF2000, Star Mazda, SCCA Pro Racing Trans-AM Series, VW Jetta TDI Cup, Cayman Interseries, and Ford Racing Mustang Challenge. A big thanks to Mazda for using my photos during the weekend. Looking forward to another great weekend of racing at Miller!
